My Brother Knights,
Welcome to March. I hope you and your families are making the most of the Lenten season to prepare for a full and joyous Easter. At this time our council is preparing for our annual St. Patrick’s Party coming up on Saturday March 16th. There is still time to find out how you can help. We need volunteers to help with set-up the night before, as well as during the party. You can donate to our basket of cheer, spread the word, and sell tickets. It is sure to be a good time.
Looking ahead to April we will be having our annual Seminarians Vocation Support Mass on Sunday April 21st at the 11:00 AM Mass. Please plan to come out and support Brandon Schmidt and Thedore Zielinski.
In closing I ask that you continue to support our Priests, deacons, and Parishes.
God Bless you all and wishing you and your families a Blessed Easter.
Vivat Jesus!

Chaplin's Message
Brothers All,
We all know our Council's name honors the Blessed Mother as the "Queen of the World," one of her many titles.
After a bit of reflection about what to write for this edition, I almost immediately recalled the Presentation in the Temple, the Feast of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, on February 2. As Mary and Joseph presented the 40day old Jesus that day, the holy man Simeon was the first to recognize Jesus as the Messiah, and revealed challenges for Him during His Public Ministry, and referred to Mary's experiences of suffering to come after this first of her seven sorrows. Mary's response is a model for each of us throughout the year, but especially during Lent. Mary pondered what Simeon said, while not fully understanding his prophecy about Jesus and herself.
I invite you, dear Brother Knights, to imitate our Blessed Mother as she has modeled prayerful pondering. The keys to prayerful pondering are silence and stillness, which may seem nearly impossible to obtain. Our lives are usually busy, as we meet the daily responsibilities to family, work, Knights functions, parish activities, and the like. May I suggest the keys to prayerful pondering are not impossible to obtain? The "world" is both physical and spiritual; a place and a deterrent to a vital relationship with our Perfect Father. While we live in the world now, we avoid being of the world, or worldly, since the New Testament Scriptures teach that "worldly" is not of God. Give yourselves the daily gift of at least 15 minutes of silence after reading a Scripture passage, such as the readings of the day in "The Word Among Us" booklets.
Remember...the Blessed Mother, "Regina Mundi," knew that nothing is impossible with God. Is that not encouraging? Enjoy imitating our Mother when you are pondering.
Vivat Jesus!

We currently have 5 members who have volunteered for the Rose for Life. WE NEED MORE. Baptisms are scheduled for the first and third Sundays of the month after the 11:00 AM Mass. It only takes about 15 minutes to hand out a Rosary and a Rose for each child Baptised. Some months there aren’t any Baptisms and sometimes only one. Before the covid-19 pandemic, we had 8 members and we were able to schedule two members for each Baptism on a rotating basis. That way, each member knew when they were scheduled and could make any arrangements, including trading off when necessary. Because we only have 5, it is on a volunteer basis. You have to attend Mass any way, why not attend the 11:00 AM Mass and stay an extra 15 minutes. If you are interested or know someone who might be, please contact: Jack Eagan at 267-449-8077 or irishrover13@comcast.net
